Derek Roberts
Derek Roberts is a strategic consultant, executive coach and professional speaker. He works with organizations across the country to enhance their performance in the areas of sales, service and customer/employee retention. His background includes leading and building business units in the technology, manufacturing and service sectors.
Mr. Roberts has a Masters degree in Business Administration form Arizona State University and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Furman University in South Carolina. In the early-90s he worked on the congressional staff of U. S. Congressman Bob Inglis of South Carolina. In 1995 he joined Park Place Manufacturing and established a direct sales division - breaking new ground in the furniture industry by selling direct over the internet. He relocated to Arizona in 1997 and served as President of SimplyClick!, an ecommerce engine and Internet Service Provider.
Since 2000, he has been a principal of Roberts Business Group. Today he focuses on helping organizations address the people side of the performance equation. His broad experience with business systems, technology and constituents has uniquely equipped him to understand what engages people to higher performance. The result is a successful system that produces both a positive work environment and increased profitability.
Derek currently resides in Wilmington, NC with his wife Amy. The have two sons and a daughter.
